MEDUSA
lyrics by Brian Olen Kious & Casey Wollberg,
music by Barley Station

I know your secret
I know your kiss & tell
I feel your heartbeat like stones down a wishing well

Oh but you keep my soul calling
Oh and you hold it close

Might fall apart and I might just hold my own.
You praise the mother and Christ just might not know.

Oh can he keep desire holy
Oh can he calm me down
'Cause I don't have an answer
'Cause I just don't give a damn
And I don't have to bow down to you
So let go now and forget me.

Days we could ramble and touch 'til we just got high.
Cradle to casket, I'd leg you bleed me dry

When do you draw the line on me?
When will I understand?
That I don't have an answer
'Cause I just don't give a damn
And I don't have to bow down to you
So let go now and forget me.

Now it's December, I got you in the snow.
You're my Medusa but you won't turn me to stone.
Naked you feel those flakes tickle
Naked you reap my scorn

Could you look while I'm laughing?
Could you just once call me king?
Is that too much I'm asking
Could you feel your way?
Would you take my hand?

'Cause I don't have an answer
'Cause I just don't give a damn
And I don't have to bow down to you
So let go now and forget me.

(C) (P) 2013 Randall Belt (ASCAP) and Brian Kious (ASCAP), Barleyfields Records (ASCAP)

Album - song notes:
Released as a single on February 15, 2013.

Brian on lead vocals, Randy on harmonies, and Nil on drums.  The prelude is what we call the "hero's entrance" and I'm sure we all know the story of the greek mytholgical "Medusa".  The prelude has 8 harmony parts sung on 12 tracks, with Randy and Brian singing the parts.  What's the song about? We'll leave it to the imagination.
